One Year on.......a year ago this month (17th) I went out for the first time with the sole intention of taking photos, i travelled to Godrevy Lighthouse although i'd never been there before and witnessed one of the most amazing sunsets and got these pics
The photos were taken with a Canon Powershot SX30 IS in vibrant colour mode and came out with soooo much noise in them that it took me almost a week to figure out why they were like it and how i could fix it.....big learning curve no 1
Since then I have gone through an SX40 HS and now a Canon 650D, i'm so glad i made the move to a DSLR. So one year on.....
These are the latest two pictures from godrevy, the tide was in so no reflections.
I have crammed as much information about photography as i could over the last year, its definitely one of those subjects where the more you learn the more you realise you still need to learn. I have also dabbled with infrared photography which i find really surreal and amazing.
So here's looking forward to year number two and all the amazing sights i may see and the things i'll learn. I have in this year on DA gained just over 400 lovely watchers, met some pretty amazing people and had some wonderfully surreal conversations, so for all of you i have put this latest picture of Godrevy on full size so you can download to your hearts content.
I have just made myself a facebook page [link] if anyone can give me a 'like' it would be much appreciated
Linda, This artwork is such a beautiful piece.I bet your going to be a great photographer in the future! Can't wait to see more! I love how you got this at sunset! The waves look beautiful and the perfect glow on the sea! I love all of this! You have nice crisp and clean pictures! And I have a question,Were was this taken? Its very pretty I wish I could be there looking out at the ocean. I bet it was breath taking when you were there taking that picture. Well this picture is very beautiful and I wish I could see it in real life.
Congratulations on a great picture! a beautiful shot with great lighting! however I personally think the other 2 are nicer and more exciting to look at. You can see you got a art background because your feeling of composition is very good. technical its a great job you did here, but I'm having some trouble with the lines in this picture.
mostly you get in the picture on the left side and go out on the right. know I get in on the bottom right side due the rock formation and I stop at the big rock. It can be because of your copyright print that my eyes get drawn to this side...but the other 2 pictures have more leading lines. and you really go in and out the picture, I hope this makes sense to you what I'm trying to explain?
I love the waves, clouds and colors! and if there is one thing to change it's that your horizon tilts a bit to the right.
congratulations again and I will be adding you to my watch!
Please Fave/comment on the feature and take some time to Fave/comment on the wonderful work of our other members (hopefully they will do the same for you)
